CFPD is currently accepting positions for Firefighter Intern/Reserve. 

The Copperopolis Fire Protection District is now accepting applications for our Firefighter Intern/Reserve Program. This program is designed to assist individuals pursuing a career in the fire service while enhancing the services provided to our community.

Program Highlights

• Open to students 18 years or older enrolled in post-secondary school.
• The District is an All Risk Agency, responding to:
  • Emergency Medical Aids
  • Structural Fires
  • Vegetation Fires
  • Motor Vehicle Fires/Accidents
  • Hazardous Materials Incidents
  • Technical Rescue Incidents
  • Public Service Assists

Firefighter Intern Details

• Rotating 48/96 schedule (2 days on, 4 off).
• $150 stipend per 24-hour shift.
• Assigned to A, B, or C shift and rotate stations every two months.
• All uniforms and PPE provided.

Reimbursement & Training Opportunities

• Up to $500 EMT reimbursement (upon completion of NREMT).
• Support to obtain FF1, FF2 certifications and related costs.
• Strike Team opportunities.
• Experience working alongside career firefighters and paramedics.
• Instruction from State Fire Marshal and EMS instructors (up to paramedic-level classes).
